The Scratch Shield (also known as gritguard) is one of the most essential tools for a good washing performance. Everything starts from the fact that the particles released during washing do not damage the surface of the car.

Without the sand separator, the particles in the bucket are free to migrate in the water - and re-adhere to the washing glove when dipped in the bucket. This causes the particles to re-migrate to the washable surface and cause unwanted scratches.

Scratch Shield binds particles to the bottom of the bucket and prevents them from circulating in the wash water. The resulting washing water in the bucket is significantly cleaner than without a sand separator. Powerful two-bucket technology definitely requires a sand separator, preferably for both buckets.
